New single from Combine the VIctorious

Combine the Victorious has a new single: Brotherhood.

"Brotherhood” is a radio friendly song that is upbeat in tempo, has a fluid positive melody and good lyrics. Speaking of taking on the world after meeting in high school, its about two people sticking together and making their own way through life and looking out for one another. This is a very well put together song. Lush sounding at times and then going to the bare bones of the song is a brilliant way to capture a positive feeling/thought/emotion. Well done!

Ross Den Otter displays in Isabelle Dunlop Clothing Store

Vancouver artist Ross Den Otter has just hung several new works on the walls of the Isabelle Dunlop Clothing store.  The collection features several highly stylized nature images, including vivid maple leaves, arbutis tree seeds, birch tress and a remarkable dandylion all transferred to canvas.  The final results are beautiful and stark and compliments Isabelle's clothing very nicely!

A few photos from the store:

The art will be hanging until late March when a new show will be unveiled along with the grand opening party of the store.

Isabelle Dunlop Clothing Store open on Main Street, Vancouver

We are pleased to announce the opening of the Isabelle Dunlop Clothing Store, at 4158 Main Street, Vancouver.

On February first we opened the doors for the first time, it was a day filled with Champagne and wonderful gifts from friends old and new.  We can't be happier with how the shop has turned out and the reception has been overwhelming!  The following are a few photos taken by Stefan Sigerson (Flash Actions Films) on the evening of our opening day.

The store is divided in to two parts, the front is the boutique clothing shop, and the rear of the building is the sewing studio.  The windows the are in the display wall are actually old storm windows from her Vancouver home.  The shelves were built on site as part of the custom design.  "Canadian Cabin" is how her husband Mark Henning describes it.

Isabelle will be sewing her new spring line at 4158 Main Street over the next several weeks.   Almost all the gear is currently set up in her studio, though there are still a few select machines yet to be delivered and set up.  Drop by and say hello.
Special thanks must be given to friends Matt Kennedy and Megan Cook for not only their amazing assistance during the building of the store but also for the 99 year loan of their vintage couch.

Additional thanks must be given to Alexis Young for her excellent work on the logo design, it looks just as excellent on the front window as on the business cards and clothes tags.
