Canada is written by Mark Henning with Chris Barrett, Matt Brain, Hugh Ellenwood, Brad Gillard and Matt Kennedy

The song is the eleventh track on the new record. Produced by Deborah Holland with Mark Henning

Canadian Shield - Headlong Hearts

 Headlong Hearts has released their new single "Canadian Shield" this month a year after their debut album What We Call Forever was released. 

Canadian Shield is a uniquely Canadian song as it described the long drives we all take across our vast nation and the potential shortcomings of making such a road trip with an incompatible passenger!

Introducing Headlong Hearts - Down in History (live @Havana)

The band once known as Farmteam is no more. They are now called Headlong Hearts. Still consisting of Matt Kennedy, Brad Gillard, Hugh Ellenwood, Matt Brain and Mark Henning, Headlong Hearts are about to begin releasing their new music to the world! The fist stage consists of a three song video trilogy filmed live at the Havana Theatre on January 30th 2022. Below is the first video: Down In History.

Best Tonight (official video) - Combine the Victorious

We proudly present the Wayne Hoecherl directed video for Best Tonight by Combine the Victorious.  The video features Taya Morrow, who choreographed and performed the dancing in a mysterious tunnel to great effect.  Special thanks must be given to Taya and Wayne as well as Dan Kozma for his excellent camera work and editing as well as Chris Hooper for assisting with the dolly during the shoot.

Taya Morrow was styled by Isabelle Dunlop, and you can see her dancing to great effect in flowing scarves and wool outfits. Hair and makeup was courtesy of Charlene Santaga of Bambu Salon, Vancouver BC.

Big thanks to everyone involved in this project, we're very pleased with how lovely it's all turned out!

Dune Rats love Canadian bands! #RIML #interview

Ah those zany Dune Rats.  Australia's own stoner punk outfit filmed an interview with Records In My Life that is undoubtedly the funniest episodes we've done in 2016.  Love these guys, great sports.   They were surprised by how many Canadian bands appeared on their lists!  Shout outs to Dilly Dally as well as Pup!

Charles Brownstein produced and hosted this episode.  Benn McGuire directed and shot video, with Jeffrey Powell on second camera and live footage.  Edited by Mark Henning.

Combine the Victorious and Sex With Strangers play the Rio Theatre!

Both Combine the Victorious and Sex With Strangers shall be performing  after the Vancouver theatrical release of Katrin Bowen's comedy Random Acts of Romance this Thursday evening, November 14th.

After a successful festival circuit the locally shot and produced film Random Acts of Romance will be shown at the wonderful Rio Theatre (1660 E Broadway, Vancouver, BC) this Thursday night.  7PM.  Following the movie will be a meet and greet with the cast and crew  and then live performances from both Combine the Victorious (9:30) and Sex With Strangers (10:15).  

Tickets are only $10 in advance and $12 at the door.   It's absolutely going to be an amazingly fun night!  Facebook event
