Revisiting Isabelle Dunlop's Gastown Pop Up Shop

Starting this Sunday, Sept 1, 2013, Isabelle Dunlop will be at 330 W. Cordova for 5 days. Her hours are 11-7PM each day. In the shop will be her latest collection of scarves, coats, capes, dresses and other special pieces. You can have a look at the latest by clicking here.

As we were looking over things this week we came across this beautiful video created by Dale Darlington for Isabelle's very first commercial pop up  back in April 2010.    Please note the dates and address are not for the current shop, but the essence and story are all still the same.  We just wanted to share this video as it got a bit overlooked a few years back.

Isabelle Dunlop fall fashions

Sept 22nd/23rd  

Isabelle Dunlop will be having her fall collection on display at Main St., Vancouver.  She has a wide selection of coloured wool shawls and scarves as well as her brand new pea coat made from Buffalo check plaid wool (as featured in the Georgia Straight last week).  

In addition to the pea coat Isabelle has several new colours of scarves and shawls, the wool freshly arrived from the Shetland isles of Scotland.

The pop up shop will be happening at the former Birkeland Brothers Wool shop at 3573 Main street,  near the corner of Main and 20th Avenue. Special thanks again to Cara Birkeland for offering her site for the sale.

Robert Edmonds hangs at Dunlop Pop Up

    A week in and the Isabelle Dunlop Pop Up Shop is in full swing.  Her spring collection: dresses, sweaters, scarves, necklaces all on display (along with a selection of the Boutique Empire music library).

    On Saturday, the long appreciated and loved artist, Robert Edmonds, dropped off a brand new painting, which shows Isabelle as a young girl standing with her horse "Hamish."  (detailed image below)

The shop now has two original painting adorning its walls.  The first is an abstract by Jordy Birch titled "The Meek Won't Want It" (acrylic on canvas, 4'x6' - pictured above) the second is the Robert Edmonds (80x60 acrylic on canvas - formal title still to be determined).

Open daily Tuesday thru Sunday, Noon until 5PM (later if necessary).  196 Kingsway, Vancouver (corner of Kingsway and 10th Ave E)
